With more than 30,000 students the University of South Wales (USW) is a major player in UK higher education - one of the UK's ten biggest campus universities by student number.

Our students learn about their profession in environments that recreate the workplace, using the same equipment and software they’ll find there too. From a Clinical Simulation Centre and an aircraft hangar, to photography, music and TV studios, you’ll gain essential skills using 

Research at the University of South Wales makes a real difference. It provides solutions to problems and informs key decisions that affect society, culture and the economy.

In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, half of our research was rated world-leading or internationally excellent. We’re also among UK leaders in many fields, including social policy, sports and exercise sciences, and the creative industries. We offer a rich resource of expertise, which is called on by government, industry and the public sector to provide fresh thinking and new evidence.
