    • About Norwich

Norwich stands out on the east coast of England with a rapidly growing reputation. No longer is the city a hidden gem; the secret is out - Norwich offers one of the best student lifestyles going.

The University of East Anglia (UAE) is well respected, regularly at the top end of the Student Satisfaction Survey, ranking No.1 for Student Experience, Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2013. Set amidst 300 or so acres of parkland a lazy walk from the city centre, the campus has a genuinely friendly ambience where everyone seems to know each other. Also home to the Norwich School for Arts and Design, there’s an artistic, creative vibe to the city, and many of the pubs, bars and restaurants lend themselves to this crowd.

The city plays host to the International Literary festival, with notable UAE alumni regularly turning up furthering the uni’s international reputation for English and Creative writing. The SU run a tight ship and keep one of the better uni radio stations running with plenty of events. Nightlife in Norwich is decent, but where the city really thrives is the music scene. The SU and local venues regularly manage between them to bring in some of the best bands and coolest acts – giving ‘Naarwich’ one of the best music scenes anywhere in Blighty.
