In the attractive town of Guildford, the University of Surrey is having a pretty successful run in recent years.
Proving its commitment to innovative thinking, the uni is doing its international rep’ no harm at all with its partnership with a Chinese university. The Surrey International Institute based in China forms the basis of an academic relationship across the globe.
Guildford itself is a great place to live the pretty cobbled streets and (admittedly tiny) castle make for a pleasant setting, and the SU has decent facilities that bring in a few big names. Post pub entertainment is slim, meaning those that can afford it take the trip into London, but unpredictable and unpractical timetabling means you’ll be clubbing ‘til breakfast if you want a train back again! Despite these minor obstacles, Surrey students still seem to find plenty of entertainment in these slightly limited surroundings.
