About London - Wandsworth
With the Battersea Power Station's chimneys towering high over the skyline, the Wandsworth borough is sat on the south bank of the winding River Thames offering some great walks along the famous river.
Putney, in the west of the borough, is the traditional start of the University Boat Race, and thousands turn up to enjoy the festivities. Wandsworth town marks the heart of the borough and has a middle class feel to much of it, and the massively successful Brit-flick 'Love Actually' was largely based around Wandsworth living. Not all of the area boasts such stylish and attractive living, but the former industrial influence is receding from the area.
The various areas boast a range of nightlife and there’s something for everyone, with trendy bars, proper pubs, raved-about restaurants and clubs no matter what you’re into.
