About Royal Academy of Dance

For 100 years, the Royal Academy of Dance has been one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations.

Our exams set standards in classical ballet and we are a global leader in dance education and Continuing Professional Development for dance. We take pride in inspiring a worldwide network of dance teachers and dance enthusiasts and currently have around 13,000 members in 89 countries, and offer teacher training programmes to more than a thousand students.

The Faculty of Education’s portfolio of programmes; from undergraduate to postgraduate degrees validated by the University of Bath to RAD Certificate and Diploma Awards have been specifically designed to meet students immediate and future aspirations as dance teachers and our graduates have gone on to make unique contributions to the future development of dance education and training.
