    • About Nottingham

Renowned for shopping and clubbing Nottingham is one of the hottest university destinations. The University of Nottingham has been one of the most popular institutions in recent years.

The city has two respected universities to shout about; the University of Nottingham and Times Nottingham Trent. Both institutions offer a huge variety of courses, with Trent leaning itself slightly more towards the vocational side of study.

The city itself prides itself as one of the major shopping and cultural destinations in the region - if not the country, with allegedly more bars per head than any of its rivals. There’s definitely a trendier side to students in Nottingham, giving the designer stores and boutiques towards the cobbled Lace Market plenty of business.

In a city famed for Robin Hood, you can find plenty of swanky bars and ‘hip’ venues to take money from rich pockets – whilst a number of cheaper pubs and chain-bars give discounts to the poor students.
