About Aberystwyth
Nestled on the far west coast of Wales sits reputably one of the best places to go to university in the UK.
Aberystwyth, a town of less than 30,000 people, has consistently been voted in the top ten universities for student satisfaction... and we can explain why. As a town dominated by the student influence from Aberystwyth University, ‘Aber’ (as you will end up calling it) offers a student experience far greater than a little town on the Irish Sea should. With a large percentage of the population being made up by the students, the student community has a very intimate feel to it, with trips around town regularly ending up with unexpected beers and more due to unexpected meetings with friends and acquaintances.
Whether you’re living in a sea front student apartment (how many university towns can offer that?) or the student village, the town, the bars and the uni are all within a short walk, so no matter how bad the hang over there’s no excuse.
The University is highly respected with even Prince Charles briefly attending in his youth, and the town surrounded by Welsh Mountains is an attractive, friendly place to make the step up to higher education.
