About University of Hertfordshire

Our courses are shaped by the needs of business and industry, giving you the insight and skills employers are looking for.

Many courses also give you the chance to spend time on work placement, putting into practice what you have learned and building valuable contacts. It's a competitive market out there, so we can also help you polish up your CV in other ways, whether it is through volunteering, studying abroad or getting involved with student politics.

The last Research Assessment Exercise rated eleven of our research areas as world-leading. It also underpins and influences much of our teaching, which has a reputation for excellence. Safe to say, you are in good hands.

We invest millions to ensure that whether you are learning in a lab or an editing suite, you will be using latest equipment that you can expect to use in industry.

Everyone needs a helping hand now and then, whether it is money matters, personal problems or finding new accommodation. Our trained advisors are there for you when you need a little help. In fact, in 2009 the QAA said that the support we offered to international students was particularly good. That is good news for you and probably good news for your parents, who won't need to worry quite so much.

Location matters - Our campuses have a vibrant community spirit and are modern, self-contained and inspiring places to learn and enjoy student life. You will also discover that Hatfield and St Albans have loads to offer, they are easy to get around and if you are really stuck for ideas, London's a short train ride away..
