About Curtin University

An innovative, global university, Curtin is known for high-impact research, strong industry partnerships and preparing students for the jobs of the future.

Curtin is WA’s most preferred university and is globally recognised for its strong connections with industry, high-impact research and wide range of innovative courses.

Our strong global reputation has seen us rise up the international university rankings in recent years. We’re ranked in the top two per cent of universities worldwide in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities 2016.

We’re also ranked 23rd globally for universities under the age of 50 in the QS World University Rankings 2015 and received a five-star overall excellence rating in the QS Stars rating.

When you join Curtin, you join an international family. Around a third of our 60,000 students come from a country outside Australia, which adds a valuable dimension to your university experience, both in and out of the classroom.

This worldwide focus has resulted in Curtin being ranked one of the world’s most international universities in 2016 by Times Higher Education. With almost a third of our 51,000 students coming from a country outside of Australia, you’ll study in a multicultural environment that gives you a sense of belonging.
